guys i need some help .... i dont know how it came up to this but i am shocked .... when i came out of the exam i thought id get a decent score but alas !!.... i still have the other steps remaining ..... i dont understand what to do now does this end my journey for usmle ... ... help !!

Nope, it doesn't end your journey. I know docs with scores in the 70's who're now doing Residency. Everything's possible. However you need to work harder on Step one.. a good score on step one would definitely help.

Take some time off and analyze where you might have gone wrong while studying for CK or try a different approach for step one.

thank u so much doc 1981 ... thats what i needed to hear ... and yes i did make mistakes in ck prep . i heavily relied only on u world and took very few timed tests , ..... and a lot more flaws tht i will figure .... m gonna take six good mnths for step 1 ...... all the best to u and god bless !!

Doc cheer up ! If you have the rest of the Steps left it means you have so many chances to do even better !
One question... what was your NBME score?

thanx all to stop by nd provide words of encouragement ... it means a lot at such times smiling facedr. dara , ... i had no time for nbme i guess i made tht mistake , i heavily relied on u world nd u world score was 68 .... also i did pretests for med , peds nd obgyn and kaplan 3 times ..... will work hard on step 1 . thanx to dara_bc2002 and dr.roh !!!

people will give this life and half of the next fot just passing the test, be happy men.
I got almost the same result as you, and I'm just trying to kick the _______ out of step2 ck.

Go back to study mate, you still have the others exams to redeem yourself.
May I as what sections of UW tought were the weakest and twhich one were the strongest?nod

thnx a lot gogeta nd dara ... m all set to rock step 1 ... took da necessary time off nd im bak now !!! ..... uw biostats nd med r tough !! .... med somtimes requires 2 step thinking so it is a good idea to do kaplan thoroughly b4 doin uw qs .... also u will reALIZE THT CARDIO , NEURO , AND RS R THE BIGGIES ..... SO FOCUS ON THESE TOPICS , IT IS GOOD TO KNOW COMMON LABS MEMORIZE THEM AS U SOLVE U WORLD QS AS U WILL WASTE LESS TIME IN THE EXAM ..... TOPICS THT R STRAIGHT FORWARD ARE GI AND RENAL , SURGERY - - KAPALN KAPLAN ND ONLY KAPLAN , ..... I GAVE VERY LITTLE TIMED TESTS ( A MISTAKE ON MY PART) ... DO AT LEAST 1 TIMED TEST FOR THE LAST MNTH ......... DONT WORRY GUYS BE POSITIVE WORK HARD ... GOD BLESS U ALL !!
