Hi everybody,…..so finally after a long wait I received my score report yesterday,….and it says 99/254….i am so happy.
I appeared on 1 aug,…but received the electronic score report yesterday only as I had applied as a student and took the exam as a graduate,..so ECFMG needed a verification of my student before reporting my score.
Thanks to everyone on this forum,..i mean its only bcos of this forum that I have got this score…..otherwise it was just impossible,..
I would read all the posts daily on this thread,…to get some motivation to study,..and to know from the experience of others. And that has been the only the thing that helped me
And now a few cents from my side,….
My prep:
1. Kaplan notes 2005 edition,……X 4 times
2. UW…..(MUST MUST MUST)……X 2 times
3. Barbara Fadem ( Behavioural Science)….X 2 times (its really such a good book)
4. NOTHING ELSE
Time of prep:….4 months
Kaplan qbook is an absolute waste of time
UW …71%,…timed,…subject wise

sally: ya kaplan medicine is good enough,but psyche is not sufficient,......UW will help you fill the deficiencies,..and i did not see any of the dvds
bax: google the name 'fadem board review series'
neo235: i highlighted all the important points while reading explanations and made thorough notes on paper from UW,....used these things during my revision

hello maninder_amc, congratulations for your great score! i have two questions:
did you use the kaplan lecture videos? i was trying to do both video and notes, but it seems too time-consuming...
did you memorize all the content on kaplan notes? i read part of the internal medicine, felt like there is massive amount of information there but
can't catch the most important points from the notes..
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks everybody,...........I didnt see kalplan videos, thay r very time consuming, and yes i memorized most of the things from kaplan IM.
I took step 1 before this exam, and it really hepls a lot

Congratulations!
I'm starting now and I have precisly 4mo of full time study. U think DVDs are a lost of time? I do have Kaplan notes and I plan UW for 2 last mo. U think it is enough? Thank you.
