yes we have to live in the present and give aour 200%. and its the last one!!
I really hope to match..cant take it till next time...I also have to run after for LORs in the coming month..thats the worst part.....and so essential too.

I will have to travel to USA next week. till then hope to finish my mcqs..have to do alot of other stuff too. so just the mcqs till then at my own pace.

I had to go to the bank today and then had a headache in the evening..anxious coz have to travel soon and manage alot of things in usa without my dear family. will miss everyone again.
mcqs are silent so far. I will extend my UW Im sure.

yeah I know the feeling. Im leaving this weekend. Lucky me my mother comes with me. But I have to start studying this coming week.
You better buck up too. You are a great source of inspiration. the only one who seems to be working on their step 3 and sharing their prep.
This place is very quiet don't u think?

Hey Guys and gals
DocNikki: There will be people you will be able to communicate with in the US.So dont worry and dont be anxious.I was so anxious when i went to Atlanta to write the CS2 but all the other graduates were so supportive and helpful.There were doctors from haiti.Nigeria and the US itself.South Carolina graduates but they all seemed so nice.I almost felt that they were from my home country.
I am thinking of doing some more mcqs before going for the exam.I am also thinking of doing an externship in New York in December/January.

hey meducoc and Rita thanks for so much of positive feedback and encouragement. I will buck up by next week..!! I am getting ready for my travel, packing and other stuff. I love studying Im sure once i get to a stable place and set my routine i will be extreely regular and devoted in what i do.
I've decided to adopt a positive attitude and im sure its gonna work for me. I'm sure im going to do well on my exams, i'm sure the coming days have alot to offer to me. Im so happy to have done with the rest of my exams with good scores..Im so happy to be where I am today. WOW i am so happy for everything thats happening man! why didnt I realize this earlier. Im beautiful, Im intelligent, I have a good partner...thanks god.
Guys by talking positive we do feel positive try it out!! it will make ALOT of difference in your performance BELIEVE ME.

28th Oct.
have to finish 3 blocks of UW.
scoring between 50-60s. Importnat is to remember the concepts.
after finishing UW I will love to revise all the questions again and then start another mcq source..either kaplan qbank step3/ usmle steps123 mcq/ kaplan q book.
any sugestions for other mcqs??

Wow, I love the little winning speech you gave. I completely second the positive attitude approach. It does do wonders.
Good luck on your travel et al. I shall resume studying activity tom. My medical credentials have been recieved and verified by the ECFMG. I am hoping that certification will take place soon. Fingers crossed. I do believe that I should now get started asap.

Visiting theforum after a long time.I have to think positive now.My application for the step 3 has been accepted.I got an email.I have to put my preparation in first gear now. Do you guys know as to what score in the Kaplan question bank corresponds to above 90 percentile in the step 3.Its because I am getting an aggregate of 67% and I am getting worried.

hey friends, after coming to USA I had to postpone my exam and I took my exam on 27th and 28th dec.
the positive attitude did help me to keep up with my targets and whenever I got depressed by the thought that step 3 is tough and no matter how much u study the quest will seem as weird as they seem to the one who never studied...I just said to myself to do the best I can and let the exam play its tricks.
I found the exam pretty tough..i dont know why they have that standard ..i guess its doable for those who are 2nd or 3rd year residents. I did UW only for mcqs and ccs cases. I read some of crush step3. I am just hoping to pass and i hope I won't have to do it over again.
While preparing for this exam I studied just like for ck sacrificing everything else. after my exam though I don't now if I will pass or not I am rewarding mysel well with good rest without thinking about the exam stuff and watching movies, cooking and chatting with friends. I pray to god to pay everyone's hardwork and im sure he will.

I could not make it friends!!
I got 73!!!
now am confused...should i retake test again..soon...how soon..in a month...whata to prepare?? revise all UW mcqs, ccs, crush , ck...again..how quickly to do that? or just do more mcqs and revise cases and go for the test again..am confused.
or should I go for J1 this time ( if i match)...and take step3 later with full prep.
whata would you guys do..plz advise.

Dear Dr Nikki,
I am sorry to hear this news.... u know what ..I used to follow your prep journal in step 2 ck times...I always felt so motivated.
I cannot tell you what to study for step 3..somehow its nebulous..so many people ..so much difference in prep...also if you go over the step 3 content site they mention that a year of us clinical experience is helpful..of course we img dont have that luxury!!!
Please pick urself up to slay this monster ....with a calm mind.
I am sure u will come out with flying colors.
