ok did 1.5 blocks of neuro today. Going to finish off the second block early tomorrow morning, and try to knock out the last one as well. So far it's going pretty well. I got stuck on brain stem lesions for a bit, but I got it some what sorted out. I'll cover it more thouroughly on the second go round.

very poor progress for the last two days. My internet has been acting up. It conencts and then goes out. I'm trying to get the cable company out here, but they're taking their sweet ass time.
I'm going to ammend the schedule a bit. Instead of jumping into ob/gyn this week, I'm going to flip to the end of FA, and finish off the rest of IM first (ie pulm, renal, emerg). I don't know why they broke up IM like that in FA. Then come back to ob/gyn, peds, and psych

wish it was a break, I still had reading to catch up on.
Started resp. this morning. One block of questions done, and revised. Going to start the second block now. Which will leave one block for tomorrow, and resp should be done by this time tomorrow. Then on to renal ....

I'm not really looking to get kicked out ... I get fed, clothes washed, maid serivce, and rent free. But thank you for the well wishes.
Ok starting genitourinary today. Going to try and finish this up by sunday. Might be hard with the holiday weekend coming up. And once that is done, going to go back and do cardio and endo one more time. Which should finish up 90% of IM. Then start OB/GYN

ok finishing up genitourinary today. Then there are still blocks in UW that didn't fall under any heading in FA. So then I'm going to start those next so that all the IM questions in UW are done. Try to have that done by weds/thurs. Then start OB. How hard could ob be? push push, breath breath, clamp, cut, and voila.
If there is fetal or maternal distress then reverse order ... cut, clamp, breath, breath, pull, pull.

ok all questions on genitourinary in UW are done. Finish reviewing the the explanations tonight.
electrolytes, poisoning, preventitive medicine, and misc questions = 145 questions. SHould keep me busy for two days

hey Ivonne, thanks for stopping by. How is your prep coming along?
I got my ass handed to me today by UW. I did a block of electrolyte questions and scored 58%. I've spent the entire day reviewing just that one block. I don't think I still quite got it. So I'll be up for a while reading this stuff tonight, and then redoing these questions again this weekend.
outside of figuring out if they have metabolic acid or resp alk, etc and then using winter's formula to see if it's comensated or mixed. I really don't know what else to do with these pts. I mean so what if the pt has metabolic acidosis, give him a cookie and send him home. Hate this shit

ok here is my feelings about electrolytes.
ok I'm not angry anymore. I sat down yesterday and reviewed a bit more. It's some what ok now. I'll probably read it again once more this weekend. I've moved on now, just trying to finish up all the random question blocks in IM. I hope I can start OB by monday.

everything is fine, just been studying 12-15 h/day. I'm almost done with OB, starting gyn later today.
I found I was closing UW bank to often to check this board for questions, and that was slowing me down. And then instead of questions I was looking at posts that just distracted me more. So I've been cutting back on here. Exam is still set for the end of the month. I have an NBME in two weeks. Hopefully I do well and don't have to postpone.
