ok it's a little after six. I read through some of the first chapter in First Aid. I don't think first aid is going to be enough for cardiovascular. I'll deal with that later.

I also started going through Drtanvir's answers, and I got through the first twelve pages and I'm still on the "A" section. Granted as I was reading I went through and organized the notes a little better, and corrected spelling/gramatical errors, and made it more of a bullet point format then essay style reading. So 12 pages down 170+ to go. disapproval

time for dinner, then I'm going to go set up my little office space for tomorrow, hit the gym and call it a night.

Not a bad first day.

ok been reading GI today
drew up a schedule as well to cover all of FA
GI- 3 days
Heme/onc-2 days
Infect- 3 days
MSK- 3 days
Neuro- 2 days
OB- 3 days
Gyn- 3 days
Peds- 3 days
Psych - 1 day
Pulm- 2 days
Renal- 2 days
Emerg - 2 days
Cardio- 2 days
Endo- 1 day

derm will be done for about 20 min/day .. b/c that's about all I can stand of it.

Right now I'm only able to do 46 questions of world/day. It's taking me a long time to go over explanations. So I'm going to keep it at one block/day till Oct 1st, and then bump up to 2 blocks/day.

So if I stick to the schedule I should be done with FA and world by ~Oct 22. And at that point I'll have a good idea of where I stand.

ok GI is done. I also did all the GI quesions in UW. There only like 77, but whatever. It took me forever to go through the explanations. But now I understand it. At least until I start heme/onc tomorrow and completely forget everything I learned in GI.

Going to read secrets tonight.

I also tore off the binding from my FA, and punched holes into the pages and stuck it into a binder. Then I just make my notes off of UW onto a seperate piece of paper and slip it into the FA in the appropriate section. I think this will work out better then keeping a seperate notebook for the explanations.

Starting heme/onc early tomorrow morning, and need to finish it in two days. There are 151 questions in world. So 75/day should do it. Hopefully I won't have to add a day to finish up.

later

read through FA heme/onc section, and made notes, and charts. I thought I had gotten the material pretty well. Just started a block of UW questions and I'm getting my ass kicked. Going to read step up now since it just came in, and then come back to the UW questions tomorrow.

thanks Ivonne cool. And your right I enjoyed reading step up. It had complete sentences, and fuller descriptions but not too long that I would get bored and forget what it was, I was initially reading about.

ok just finished the second block of heme/onc on world .. I did much better this time. One more block to go. I think I need to take tomorrow and sit down and read through the entire section in FA, secrets, step up and my notes off of UW. It will put me one day behind on my schedule. But I'm hoping I can make it up when it comes to Infectious which is next (do it in two days instead of the three I had scheduled).

lunch time!!!! sticking out tongue

Hey guys, I'm tired as hell. I went out riding with a couple of guys last night. One of them suggested philly cheese steaks for dinner. So where better to get a philly cheese steak then philly? cool So we rode 2 hours up to philly and had some steak sandwichs at Pat's and rode back. I got up at noon today, and I just started a block of questions.

sorry for not updating this more regularly. I only log on during my breaks, and as soon as I do I hit the IM section for the hard questions. Which leaves no time to update this. But in any case, infectious disease out fo FA is done, as well as all the questions from UW. Very straight forward, most of it was micro from step I. Yesterday in the morning I read through muskuloskeletal in step up, and I started doing the rheumotology questions in UW. I didn't even finish one block b/c I took off early. disapproval

The plan for today is to finish all the rheum. questions from UW, and read the muskuloskeletal out of F.A. It's going to be a late nighter, who wants to brew the coffee? nod

Hey Ivonne thanks for the well wishes. I hope psych is going better for you.

Feyza, haven't been to the gym since Fri, been slacking off on that too. disapproval

oldkidontheblock, there are two things that motivate me. One is realizing everything I'm missing out on in life by having to sit inside and study day in and day out. So I better make it worth my time. And second, my dad kicks my ass out of bed every morning, and reminds me come next June he's kicking me out of the house, so I better have a residency to go to. grin

also I'm going to set DDAY for the last week of November.
