Hi , how are you doing ?
Sorry to bug you but I need to an expert opinion about the following .
I am an IMG icurrently in the US on B1 /B2 visa for the CS but I still cannot find a spot available yet .
I would like to apply now for 2008 match but since I don t have the CS yet , I am kinda worried that I may not get interviews . Besides , I will probably got my GC next year . Do you think that I should apply now without CS for J1 or H1 or is is better not to rush and wait for 2009 match when I got my GC since I heard that It is better to match with GC rather than J1 or H1.
What do you think about that ?

Of course a green card is better. If you start on a J1 visa, it cannot be converted to permanent residency status - only a H1b can be converted.
When to apply? I can't tell you that - too many variables.

Thanks for your quick answer .
That is enough for me , I decided to wait for my GC while I am studying for CS and Step 3 , I think it is better to wait till 2009
