doc_superb: First of all believe you can. make a realistic plans. Make a goal and have faith. I studied kaplan books,( had watched videos in 2005, saw a few again this time) First AID. bits and pieces of goljan RR( never got a chance to revise: big mistake I would have done a lot better if I had) Goljan 100 pages. Anat specifically I only read KLN once and did the rest from FA and Goljan HY. CT's and MRI's I got bits and pieces of netanatomy from the net.Also Goljan slides. That really helped me. UW I had repeat questions. You should do your question bank earnestly. See what method of study works for you. Do that. Stick to your plan. Do the USMLE CD, and NBME's. It will give you a flavour of the questions on the exam. Read smart work smarter. Good luck.

Youngone: I believe if you can top off Kaplan with Goljan RR and Goljan 100 pages along with FA. You are good to go. That is all I used as study method. Use Question banks to supplement your knowledge base as well as asses your performance. One needs to push themselves. subjects like micro, anat, Beh. Science Biochem are easy scorers. There isn't much twist into them. What you need to work on clearing your concepts is Path, pharm and phyiso. Work hardest in these 3 subjects but don't neglect the others. I had a good mix of each subject. I refuse to believe one is tested more than the other. It might seem so, but why lose on easy scorers. Good luck.

hey medocuk ..many many congrats ..thats awesome...can u plz figure WHAT u did differently from the first time that u passed this time....we all need this help ..frst takers like me as well as second time takers...plz tell us more on how u did differently...did u do the same books the first time ?also if u get a residency do return to this thread of yours so we are all motivated that we all can work in states

motivated4a99: Well to begin with I studied. I was honest with my prep.Yes I used my old KLN but I used FA and Goljan HY 100 pages more effectively. I listened to golja lectures probably 6/7 times over the last 2 years. He helps a lot. I suggest his RR notes if u have the time. NBME's USMLE CD UW are essential. Good luck to u.

congrats medoc...so atlast the waiting is over....could u plz share ur percentages in uw n kaplan q bank... what were ur percentages in the beginnning n near the exam...did u do the qs subject wise or random..n last question...did ur percentages co-relate with the actual score...sorry for asking so many qs...

Simi: I had a 49% UW cumulative. My scores ranged from 32% to 70% in the last few tests. I managed to do only 60% of all questions.
Kaplan, I had done the 2004 version. I was getting 60-80% throughout but then this q bank i had done 2 times before. But I did concentrate on the concepts.
My take would be do as many questions as you can. Read the explanantions. Make notes if you have to.
