Congrats to everybody! Got 1 more IV: Michigan Children (Wayne State) I got thru to Maimonides by calling everyday, at least 6 times daily for about 3 days. The program secretary was polite, but only offered a set date. Don't know why was this.

i'm going to do that to maimonides tomorrow...whats the idea of being so elusive on phone??! After 3 days of calling, SUNY downstate says we have only 1 date (which BTW isnt at all convenient ...)so i guess i dont get that...to lose interviews just cause u cant get a date scheduled...thats just so frustrating

My credentials are: 88/99/passed/no step 3 2003 Graduate (currently doing pediatrics residency in Peru) USCE: 6 months observership USLORs 3 Applied to 34 programs 3 interview invites so far: Maimonides, SUNY downstate and Miami Children´s...and an email from Texas Children´s saying that they are looking at my app. 1 "official" rejection: Mayo Clinic I see that a lot of people got rejections from hospitals I also applied to...I´ve only received one rejection email, does that mean that the other programs are waiting until november to tell me if i get an interview or not? I think that smaller programs send invites sooner, am I right?

Check this out: I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer an interview to you at our Baylor Affiliated Hospitals Pediatric Residency program. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate the many hundreds of applications and requests that the program receives each year. There are simply not enough hours in the day or days in the week to interview everyone who applies to our pediatric residency program. Careful review of your application and supporting documents has led us to conclude that it is not sufficiently likely that you would be ranked in a position high enough to match to our pediatric residency program to justify the time and expense of an interview, for ourselves as well as for you. We wish you the best of luck in your future career. I Definatelly won t apply there next year!! PS That was from Baylor

Hi guys, Lainie: don't get disappointed because of Baylor. There are several programs out there that are equally good. Rejection emails are probably bulk mail, so don't take it personal. I've got 5 rejection emails myself, and their general tone vary greatly from polite to quite rude. The only thing is that they usually get apparently waay before the IV mails. I got a reply from Univ of Arkansas stating that they are looking at my appl and would be responding mid to late nov or mid dec. So we have lengths to go yet. Hang in there! Rafo: what's your email? I'm from Peru myself, graduated from Cayetano in 2004. Maybe we can share some pointers and info.

Hey guys, Had a rejection yesterday from william beaumont in Michigan. Other than that, it's been silent again for a few days. I am gonna travel in the early days of November to start interviewing. Gonna start at SUNY downstate on Nov 8, then detroit, chicago and cinci the following week. If anyone is in the area, let me know! Lainie: You won't apply to baylor next year cause you're gonna match this year. Just wait and see! Mucha suerte just a few more days till MSPEs are released. Hopefully IVs will begin to come after that! hang in there,
