Hi,
I too am applying for peds.
97/99/cs passed/80/ 2001 graduate. No need for visa, No USCE, infact no clinical experience at all for the last 5years, no research..
Applied to 28programs, got IV from 4..

  #14

Got my 2nd invite from Maimonides. Please guys if you know some details about the program let me know. Thanks!

  #15

Hello all!
Applied to peds on sept 19th 43 progs. IMG 2005 grad 89 step 1 ,will take step 2 in dec, awaiting results from cs. 3 mo rotation in peds @ Jackson Memorial in Miami.
Got 2 IVs on the 20th : Lincoln (NY) and Driscoll (TX)..Also got e-mail from Buffalo saying they were reviewing my app..
I know it s stupid but i feel like that s all i am going to get and all of this expectation of waiting for IV s is taking my attention off my studies and i am going really slow.
I have thought of withdrawing myself from this year and dedicate all of my attention to step 2.. i know i can get a good grade if i dedicate enough time.

What do u guys think???? Also, how bad do sh**** med school grades would affect me when it comes to getting IV's...Thanx guys!!

Hey everybody,

It's great to see people sharing around their info. I've been checking out other forums but mainly from US grads, which is a totally different situation than ours.

My credentials,
Step 1 & 2 99, passed CS, ECFMG certified a few weeks ago.
Graduated 2004, 3 months observership in 2005. US LOR 3. Need visa
Applied on sept 8 to 54 prog
Got 3 IVs: Georgetown, Cook, St. John in detroit
Got 3 rejections: UTMB, Mayo, Univ. New Mexico in Albuquerque
last email was about 10 days ago, have not heard from any program since...
