on ERAS website ,Frieda section there are 3 types of programs listed
specialty
combined specialty
subspecialty / fellowship
can i apply in any program from 3rd category.say if i wanna apply in cardiology can i do so now,without prior residency. or for a 3 year cardiology residency proir IM training is must.

well take eras token for match 2008,i t will not even give you option for fellowship.
So just take the token and apply through it and you will know what and where to apply.
Also one step at a time.You cannot apply to fellowship unless you have matched in residency,completed it,
then apply for fellowship match.So think about fellowship match after 3 years.
Yes there is option for combined programs as
INT MED/PEDS.
INT MED/PSY etc ,which you can choose but the seats are very limited in it.
