thanks BBB for ur reply i have one more query if i get my j2 now and apply for ead in january i will be getting it by aprrilcan i tell program directors at time of interview that if permitted i can start my residency on ead .Or the programs have to fill it at the time of match what visa every candidate will be having as i m not sure whether i will get ead by march

As long as your PD will accept that, you should be fine to start on an EAD. If your EAD is running late, and you are still on a J2 when it comes time to start residency, you might be in trouble.
