a middle aged women who recently went for vacation to one island near eastern coast ,returned with fever,chills and fatigue.Blood smear shows protozoa with in erythrocytes.What is the diagnosis ?

I can narrow it to either Entamoeba,Balantidium or Cryptosporidium with that Hx.,

it should be babesia or plasmodium

Imight buy that Babesia but not Malaria on the East Coast of the U.S.
