Hi ladies - just a quick note to say hi. Hope everyone is doing well as we head into interview season. I have my first tomorrow, and my #1 choice on Friday. Have to fly out this afternoon, with both kids, in the middle of tropical storm Noel. Let me get down on my knees now and say a huge prayer.

Hi Ladies. Its been quiet around here. Just wanted to check in and see how interview season is going for those of you trying for 2008. I know we had some pregnant friends and some friends preparing for Step 3. If you have time, drop us a line and let us know how things are going.
My interviews went well. Have another 4, plus a second call, lined up for December. I'm pleased. Things are kind of hectic. Two kids is a lot harder than one.

I hope your first IV went well I also hope you rock on friday... I am taking step3 tomorrow and friday... please wish me luck how is it going for the rest of the moms in the group? I have 4 IV, and hope that I will match.... I really dont care where as long as I do... how is the mood with you guys this days? lets support eachother in this critical time!!!

arlete when are you taking it? I found it is very similar to the CK except for the CCS part... I was in crisis the other day but now I am actually braindead... I hope what I did to prepare is enough.... thanks for the good wishes ... are you applying this year? what specialty?

Hi, chiqui. I hope you are doing fine.
Ana: I'll take it around September. I simply love to study for it. I found some good case simulations on www.medscape.com and I hope they are similar to ccs, because I do relatively good on them. Because I was a cardiologist so long time ago, there are a lot of diseases I have to learn from scratch, so step 3 will help me to get on top of my game again.
I'll go for 2009 match, Internal Medicine. I'll bet it all into one program, where I live. (I'll need a lot of luck! - have had so far!)

Chiqui... yes that is my daughter... now I am having a second daughter... my husband said to me, oh no another one? when is the boy going to come? he is pretty disapointed but I know that he will fall in love with the new girl ...
I am so excited today I got my 5th IV invitation!!! I can't believe it...
So to finish this message.. God does bless all moms around here... he knows how hard it is for us to keep up with everything.... so just do the homework... he will take care of the rest!

I attended my first interview today not my first choice though
There were 10 of us and 2 of us out of the 10 were called out to be interviewed by the program director only. Everyone else was interviewed by an attending and the program director but the 2 of us I am a little concerned about this and wonder if this happened to anyone else.

E20 - I wouldn't read too much into it. It may simply have been that there was not enough time to have you interviewed by both. At some of my interviews that has happened - some people were interviewed more than others, but all by the PD, and it was just a matter of the attendings not having enough time to meet with everyone.

Yes Good luck to you I also went to my second IV yesterday in OB... it was also a small but respectuful program and I am praying that they offer me a pre match ...
BTW I love your picture arlete... you look sooo happy there...... thank you for crossing your fingers chiqui... I think it worked, keep them cross for me I will do the same for you
