hello girls... I decided to come today and tell them that I turned 28 today... it is a mostly happy day, I had a very tough residency start and things are not quite settled but I am back, I went to church today because I felt like I really needed to hear the word of God today and the readings sayd that the Lord is my sheperd, there is nothing I shall want, So that was light for my day and decided to give all my pain to God and start this year with happy spirit and wishing all of you trying to match this year that things will be straight forward for you and for my fellow interns, Girls, hang on... Life is good we are in the program already and we have our families to keep us going.
Arlete, I am so proud of you, not that it makes any difference but I really feel lucky that you are around, I will give you a call today or one of this days and I know that you will match
Chiqui... never more I heard from you, I trully hope that your kids are fine and your young one is fully recovered.
For now I have to go back to work, but just wanted to come for the group session 
All you girls ... we have mom power, we can face any challenge, believe me.

Happy birthday, Ana! Wow, you are so much younger than me! It does make a lot of difference having my coach proud of me, how can you think it doesn't?

i m 2003 graduate,mom of twin kids 2 years old,38 wk pregnant with my 3rd kid,passed step1 last year,step2 CK in june when i was 29 wk pregnant,passed CS in july around 33 wks....thanks GOD I passed all exams in first attempt.....but poor scores.I will start preparing for step3 after my delivery and will start observership in pathology next month.....i have no USCE.....I m applying for residency this year but i dont think that i have chance with poor scores ,no USCE,just one positive thing green card.....i m a silent reader of this forum since long time....i truly admire all the moms who r in the same situation and struggling for their balanced lives.
Arlete......u r my inspiration.

good to see u all..
i entered 13 weeks into my first pregnancy, will be around 20 to 24 weeks when i attend interviews...
were any one of u in my situation..do u guys know if this will have any neg impact on PDs during the ivs..
pls suggest

we had a discsussion on this before..(go back few pages.. to be trut ful ..illegal and unfair as it is..some PD tend to c it in bad light... BUT not all...you need to be prepared to convince them that u are more than capable to handle the duties of an intern and a new mom perfectly...convince them that u have agood support system (tho its illegal for them to even talk about pregnancy or stuff like that in interviews)..
ask the residents of the program about the PD's view on that.. they might give u a good idea....
on the whole tho i think u should be fine....show ur strengths in the interview and convince programs that u r just as capable as other candidates....all the best..!!! take care of ur self too

i shall plan interviews as early as possible, but i guess it will still be obvious that im pregnant..
As you said, i have to convince them that i can balance both duties well.
hmmm i hope to get into residency this year, becos i already have a gap of 1 year and a half in my CV...was preparing for the usmle exams...but i think i cant say the same to the PDs in the interview about the gap..
