Wow everyone.....so much going on.
I went to my home country to meet my family and say hi to everyone before the gruelling intern year. Back here, and orientation starts from Monday.
Anna, congrats.....congrats......congrats!!!!!!!! That's 3 great occasions.......your new bundle of joy, your match and your hubbies ,match. I bet 2008 will remain as a great year in your life. How are you preping for the intern year?
Arlete, congrats on finishing your step 3, you will do great!! I think I will have to postponne mine, as I am not sure how to accomodate time for that right now.
I am in the 23rd week of big belly....and so far the program seems to be cool about it; I will find out exactly how cool once the duties start.
Everyone else.....how's life? For mommies starting internship.....keep informed about your plans for an effectie balance of home and profession pls!

as far as me... I am not preparing... I read sometimes the mini harrison, but I have to be honest, not to much.... so we will see... stillll have some visa issues before I can start... we will see.

Feeling kind of sad this week since this is not where I thought I would be by this time. I try to play Pollyanna's "glad game" with my husband and it really works at times.

I´m at the airport, going back right now...
I got a 233/99 in step 3, am a few pounds heavier, a little bit tanner than normal. Not for long, though...

hi everyone, congrats arlete!!
now you are all set and there is no stoping you.
Believe me when i say residency might yet be the toughest endeavour you have had to undertake and with kids its even tougher. at the same time I pray for this kind of stress for all of us rather than the pain of staying unmatched another year!!
For me its even more diff cos my hub ad i are interns all the same we wouldn't trade this for anything.

my dear!!!!!! I am sooo happy to hear those great news.... I can tell you that eventhough is tough I would not trade it for ANYTHING or almost.... I love being around patients... the hospital... the attendings, I just love it, I know you will too .... Now you know you have to go and reinforce your contacts... great congrats arelete, I will drink a caipirighna in your honor my friend!

Ana: I drank kiwi caipirinha in Brazil, it was awesome! I'm glad you feel good in this difficult phase, I bet you're tired but happy. I know the feeling of belonging to the enviroment, like a fish back to the water... I'm longing for that for years!
E20: I know it won't be a bed of roses. Thanks God I have a very supportive husband, and my kids are well behaved. But if that's what it takes...
