Chicken liver is DELICIOUS! Cow legs too.I mean, the meat, only!  As a long standing anemic person, liver was a good friend of mine (until the minor thalassemia diagnosis was done, I ate a lot of it, so I enjoy). There's one restaurant called The Cracker Barrel that sells them, I recommend.

Hi girls! Sorry I havent been on lately... I´ve been enjoying (sometimes not that much) the joys of motherhood now that I´m a SAHM, since it wont be long.
Chiqui: we matched on our number 1 choice!! Thanks God! Its in PA. We loved the city, its great for kids.
shpp: I was scared to death since I though I was preggo (AF missed for 2 months) and I really know how you feel, but I would have done exactly what chiqui said: be the best! Wont be easy because pregnancy is enough to get tired, but work hard and good luck! And having this girls here (chiqui and arlete) with such great advises, I couldnt ask for more.
anamgarcia: I´m so happy you got to see all the positive it brings to you! I´d love to be in your virtual shower too! as long as I get a virtual invitation lol
I am really worried sometimes on how I´ll manage a house (never have, I live with my mom), a marriage (comes along with the house), the baby and the resideency... but we´re here all together so we´ll make it work, right?

hello all moms,
today when i clicked on this forum i didnt realise what i was going to find .......the best inspirational success stories ever...that i can relate to myself....never before ... i felt this way ...im not alone ...not the only mom ..trying to persue my career with 2 kids ,a husband and house and their school , and game practices and social life ..juggling b/w everything just to let myselff few hours every day to study ....i graduated in 97 got married came to us ...got pregnant !...then after another baby and 6 yrs later here im ...am passed step1 last year, kids are 8 and 5 year old .....and, im trying to study for step 2 ... have no usce, but planning to get in match next yr ..dont know if i can take the test before summer vications start this year . its getting realy hard for me to stick on any study schedule .........getting very slow ..to none ,at all ,study these days ....dont know what to do ?.....your posts have fueled some energey .....today, lets see how would i do today? trying to study im 2nd reading! ...!please pray for me! thnx erun

Sorry for the hibernating mode, actually I took my step 3 few days back. As everyone has felt, it was tough , so I m praying to pass.

Chiqui, though I am replying late , but thank you soo much for wishes.
Erun, its always so encouraging to see all of you moms with kids going ahead on this journey. I know it would be difficult sometimes with such huge resposibilities but I am sure as our great mamas chiqui, Ana, arlete have done it well so would you. ..So good luck studying and I beleive you will definitely do it.

well welcome Erun.... you are officially part of our very nice and tight group of moms that cheer each other up and drink e-cocktails for one another...
My biggest motivation to get the exams done was the knowledge that I will not feel complete unless I really try to get were I want to go. (a different thing was what happened on match day, but at least I did everything in my hands to get there) So no matter how slow your pase feels, just make a point on keeping it constant. if you can only do 2 h/ day, then welcome your 2 hours like they are 20.... you just need to make that a priority.
i.e. you can wakeup one hour earlier ( you probably alredy wake up at 5 am... but if not, try). so you can study before you wake the kids to school.
or after you take everybody to school, when you go back home, do not get in the kitchen, do n't look at the damper or anything, just focus on your study material and only after you finish, give yourself the chance of worrying about the house.
if you work... take your lunch hour to go to a quiet place and make a cup of coffee your study partner... your friend at lunch. find sometime in your busy schedule, assign it to your steps and keep it constant!
we will be here to cheer you up and give you some more tricks along the way

BTW , How are you feeling ? How many weeks are you now ? Take rest and pamper yourself with whatever you like to eat, to watch to listen  ...I hope you get better with the nausea..

Ana congrats on making it to 'term pregnancy". As for me, the nausea is calming down a bit and I'm finding my energy back, so starting my step 3 journey....BUT I DO NOT WANT TO READ!!!!!! Lord save me

Take care Ana, I donot know what to do at this time , but taking lemonade with crackers might help your nausea ...Is the nausea becos of the reflux that would be occuring at this time?? Just wondering ...
sshp , how about starting with question bank ? That might be interesting to start with your preparation.

Thank you, taurus. I need to pass because Illinois has a 5 attempt maximum rule and I failed step 2 CK once.  But I am confident.

Sorry I missed your previous post ( posted wayyyyy back  ) First of all congratulation on your pregnancy .Though I have not talked to the program director directly about my pregnancy but I have kind of let it into the air that I am expecting. Actually I have discussed it with my GME office as few things like insurance related to baby had to be sorted out.
Well, I know its gonna be tough , but I beleive and wish that God will give me strength to pass this time too. . I am planning to call my parents here during that time. Then probably will have to go for day care .
Have you discussed it with your program about it ? Good to know that you are geeting your energy back Good luck studying for step 3.

Hey Taurus,
thanks for noticing my previous post....glad to know someone in the same boat as me. Keep posted on how you handle this. I have to turn in my elective and leave preference next week, so just like you, I have to indirectly let the program know that I am expecting. I am not talking to the PD yet though...but she will know for sure.
And yes, starting with Qs for step 3 might be a better idea.
Arlete......C'mmon.....you don't need to worry about the illinois limit......
Wonder if Ana is already having/had her baby??

Ana was still pregnant yesterday, that's all I know.
I am studying every day now for step 3. I'll try an NBME in the beggining of June and decide if I seat for it in end of June or end of August. I'll be on vacation in July and would rather not be studying or concerned about it...
