Hi All,
I am sure everyone is fed up of reading detailed exam experiences  .But I have to write mine anyway .
This is an easy to read format ,
Prep Time :seriously 7 months (,on-off 2 years)
Material :Kaplan lecture notes and DVDS. Bits from FA,Goljan Audio.
Read everything twice .
Qbanks : Kaplan online Q bank( avg 80) and UW(55 or 56)
NBME 2 jun 480 
NBME 3 Jul 470 
NBME 4 Aug 520  all 3 online .
EXAM DAY:
Was too scared during the 1st 2 blocks . Made a lot of mistakes and felt like an idiot in the breaks.
The rest of the blocks went ok because I was calmer.
1.Each block had 10 to 15 easy 100% sure kind of Qs.
2.Around 4-5 were "God only knows " kind Qs.
3.Rest were my best guess.
4.I took a break after every block.

What really helped.
1.Dr.Goljan's audio lectures.
2.Highyield stuff and mnemonics from FA which I had marked in Kaplan notes.
3.Slides and pictures from FA.
4.Notes I had prepared throughout my prep.

Thanks...actually m doing the same...ditto..revising the subjects 2nd time..doing kaplan q bank questions for the 1st time but usually get b/w 60-65 and today i did micro and was pathetic in it.....gonna appear in 2 months...any suggestions for me?????????????

Triangulation.
I wonder if anyone else noticed this.The same concepts were asked again and again in different ways.
One must know high yield stuff inside out .

My mistakes.
1. Too stretched out prep. I got so fed up that I couldnt revise the whole thing again for the final time.
2.Didnt revise CNS drugs and top 10 drugs.
3.Didnt take Anatomy seriously.
4.I am very bad at statistics and anything to do with Maths.
5.I got too tensed in the first 2 blocks.
6. Didnt review any block. because I ran out of time.

WOW , really neat , organized easy to read sis , thanks , that really make my days since am just check here b4 head to ZZZZZZZ .
I stop reading exm post for a while , since u know, also even .. good to read most are in big para like .. so too big for my alraedy stuff brain with all exm study , so nothing stick or get in head, so all may be in saved but , forget to open to follow , so ur post, will b in brain cell , also will b able to follow, it's
... " At a Glance exm experinces version " ... the Oscar speech .. will be at the inside 1st page like papi ... instead of to my beloved wife .. ur oscar speech should be there .

thanx alot 4 the high yield stuff but can u elaborate more on pharam,how sophisticated r the questions in pharma? is kaplan enough 4 pharma or do u advice reading katzung & trevor??
what dvds did u like(&hate) the most ??
there is al ist on katzung & trevor of "key words 4 key drugs" but the list is not short have u take a look at them??i mean is it worthwhile making such list ?

Faraym! You deserve an OSCAR (if there was one for USMLE PREP)!!! This post is the most High Yield post I have ever read in the exam experiences section. Easy to read, to-the-point. This post has 10 times more information than some 10 para stories that one finds in this section. Highly commendable!!!!

Top 10 drugs,
Antiplatelet (ASA, Clopidogrel)
Phenytoin
Warfarin.
Nitrates.
Statins.
Calcium channel blockers.
Asthma (steroids and Salmetrol)
SSRIs.
Proton pump inhibitors.
New antipyschotic.(olanzipine)

Yoga, I think Kaplan pharmac is more than enough but one should learn it thoroughly .pharmac Qs were not very twisted . If you know where a particular drug belongs ,rest is deducible.
Of the DVDS , Patho was a waste of time .But the slides are good.
Neuroanatomy is most helpful.
So is physio. The tricks he teaches are helpful in all subjects like for instance ,how to figure out answers without actually calculating etc.
Behav.science MUST SEE.
Micro. ok nothing great.
For immuno .the newer kaplan notes is very good esp the last pages .
Bioche. MUST SEE.

Shwe. i did go through webpath twice. webpath obviously has more pics than FA.
like Dr.Goljan said 2 slides are a MUST on everyones test ,AML and Megaloblastic anemia.
I didnt get many weird pictures ,just 2 or 3..which i still dont know what they were.

About the weird and funny Physio graphs .
The information which we already know is put into graphs ,so before blowing your top , take a look at the relationships they are trying to show.
Anything can be graphically represented.....including ....''Usmle scores'' on X-axis and ''Number of posts'' on Y-axis.
The scary graphs are not so scary ...practice UW ...after sometime its easy to put aside distractors and to pick the relationships depicted .

3.Everything about skin including sunscreens.
4.Everything about brainstem.
5.Pictures ( CTs, slides) from FA.
6.Menopause.
7.Nutrition ,fiber,vitamins( in bioche. pathways)
8.Early interventions of chronic diseases, coronary heart disease,atherosclerosis...
9.Everything about estrogen -progesterone.
10.Most of statistics Qs were asked in the reverse fashion of what is normally in our q banks( figure that out)
11.The top 10 drugs.( I regret not revising them )
12.Everything about cell cycle ,(everything)
13.First 2 chapters of histology from Kaplan ( must know byheart)
14.Physician patient interaction scenarios from FA for CS.
15.Main adverse reactions of all drugs,DOC ,p450 modifiers.
16.Physio graphs from kaplan.
17. Hematology ( Dr.Goljan 's audio is best and most helpful)
18.HIV (everything) and basics of neoplasia.
19.hypersensitivty reactions.
20.ANS drugs.
P.S ;Mytime says everyone knows that these are highyield ....then why isnt everyone getting a 99?
I knew that these are high yield but still ignored a lot of it . Hope no one makes the same mistake.
