It is basis for Axial skalaton but persist as Nucleus Pulposis in the central part of Interverbral disc and has a role in polapse disc.

notochorda is formed from notochordal process which is an accumulation of mesenchymal cells. most important thing about notochord is this that it is the primary inductor in the early embryo
