hi, i got an email from an illinois program, mentioning this:

"For temporary licensure in Illinois, if you have graduated from a medical school more than 2 years prior to the date of application for licensure, and are not actively engaged in the practice of medicine or engaged in a formal program of medical education in another state, territory, country, or province, in addition to meeting all requirements for licensure, you must submit acceptable documentation evidencing continuing clinical skills since graduation from medical school."

anybody knows what the hell this means and if this works on residents or attending practitioners?

i didn't hear that it is extremely difficult for IMGs to get into residency program and get resident liscence in illinois, so, what does this mean?

good luck for everybody here

Pay attention to page 3.

Can you, please, tell me what program sent you that email? Thanks.

thanx buddy, maybe it is too early to worry about this, i hope nobody had problem to get the temporary liscence after matching, let's keep in touch for this issue.

it is from UIC program, but, i believe this is the policy for all of the illinois programs.

I spoke with the lady and this is what she told me.
They ask x amount of credits if you have been out of medicine,so they ask her 150 credits.
She says that she tried to do them and only did about 50 and before she finish them they gave her the license. O and she did not gave proof of those 50.
