Vacular systems of 5 organs are arranged in parallel. The vascular resistance of each organ is the same and the total resistance of the entire circuit is 0.05 mmHg/ml/min. Which of the following values is the total resistance of the entire circuit if one of the organs was removed?

a.-0.0625 mmHg/ml/min
b.-0.0725 mmHg/ml/min
c.-0.04 mmHg/ml/min
d.-0.03 mmHg/ml/min
e.-0.01 mmHg/ml/min

see 1st of all i dont understand y there r negative signs...and i did a stupid mistake..answer is A

A R=20....that means 1/R = 1/0.05

reisistance of each organ is same=4+ 4+4+4+4=20

4=1/0.25...if one organ was removed....1/R= 1/0.25+1/0.25+1/0.25+1/0.25=16

so R is 1/16=0.0625

for this Q first exclude any number less than .05 cause in parallel resistance when u remove one the total resistance increase raised eyebrow
