what is the best initial tratment for nephrotic syndrome?is it steroids or furosemide? plz. also mention that when do we have to give anticoagulants?is it given prophylactically or after the thrombotic epesode?

In minimal change disease first steroids, anticoag if cbc shows some derangements, Even we use albumin 25% when half albumin is infused then give furosemide. Peritonitis is one of the compliction of neprotic syndrome. May be somebody correct if I am wrong

I agree, steroids should be given first... They address the condition from pathogenetic standpoint.
