Oh, and read this line : " and has already received special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act for dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
She has been granted permission to take the test over two days instead of one, but is seeking an additional 60-minute break on each day.''

Don't we all suffer from ADD, for sure me! grin

She took it on april and fail, now she basicly want them to pass her.
They are giving her 2 DAYS 2 days did I say 2 DAYS that means if she is taking step1 or 2 that will be what 3 blocks of 50 and the next day 4 blocks disapproval

I hope she'll flunk again and/or PDs will have the common sense of not accepting her for residency.

Where is sss?
I want to hear her comment.
So been pregnant is a disability and nursing is a disability, it makes you realise that women truly rule in USA.

She obviously can pump before hand, breast milk can stay upto 24 hours or more unrefridgerated... what a loser, for her cheating methods.

  #8

Interesting, good girl.

Way to go to milk the system! (no pun intended)

I bet she will win the law suit though. Reasons: White, woman, US harvard grad, and previous trouble maker (already got special treatment for her supposed ADHD and dyslexia -how convenient!) She knows how to work the system, and will b!tch, whine and complain till she gets her way or else she will sue for millions and then she won't need the residency and can have as many babies as she wants! Sorry for being so brutal, but she needs to suck it up... Many mothers have gone through this FINE, and did what they have to do without needing 2 days PLUS extra break time! Ridiculous!!!

Breastfeeding During the USMLE
September 13, 2007

Recent inquiries prompt us to offer this Q&A about policies and circumstances that may affect women who wish to express milk during Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK) of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). We have also included information about NBME’s response to the lawsuit of Sophie C. Currier and her daughter, Lea M. Gallien-Currier.

More at...... http://www.nbme.org/about/BF-USMLE.html

It was in the paper today. She won. She freaking won.

Every resident walking by is talking about it and saying that it's BS (and even harsher words).

It's not a popular decision with the IMGs or the AMGs - they all think it's .......(enter your word of your choice here)

I would love to see her during internship year..that would be some good reality TV stuff . I hope Mark Burnett is listeningnod

I'm not surprised at all with the court decision over the breastfeeding, no one in this country would go against it, they would get lynched. But this is America, you can sue for anything here....

But how the judge could overlook the fact, she is already taking 9 hour test in 2 days for whatever reason, so it will make 4-5 hours with breastfeeding brake = ????

Ah, the country of freedom .

That is so ridiculous! Women around the world have been trying for decades to show we are capable of doing everything men can do, to be professionals, trying to blend in, overcome and not draw attention to pregnancy/breastfeeding/sleepless nights/children's sickness, etc... Then somebody so selfish proves she is entitled to so many bending rules we are even ashamed of thinking of!

shaking head

I knew she'd win! I called it! smiling face
The article says that the board is appealing because they want to standardize the exam because it licenses physicians and they have to have some set equal standard so no one has an unfair advantage, etc... Let's see what happens.

The only thing I don't understand is WHY is she allowed to LEAVE the test center, even after a special room has been provided for her? Something fishy going on?

I'm with everyone else that this is Bull----, but it IS amusing seeing her bust the balls of the board people! smiling face

I remember a lday that that gave labor the day before ND TOOK THE TEST the next day. and PASS.
So if I say that because I use glasses and they tend to bother me during the test, could I get extra time?

you have to be a white lady, going to an ivy league school to even get considered. FMG need not apply.
