I think these may be balanced by great LORs and other credentials. I heard scores are mainly important during the screening process while some programs screen out people with scores less than a cut-off line. I do hear people still get interviews at those places though maybe because of their connections. I think once your applications are actually viewed, scores will play a less important role. Good luck!
