its peptidoglycan...cell wall constituent.responsible for giving shape and support .

ya, i agree w/ asmi, it' s peptidoglycan (D)

We're assuming the question is about strep. pyogenes, which also has a capsule but the capsule is more responsible for it's pathogenesis.
