ok friends !!! thanx a million for joining here in this thread... I love you all and without this...USMLE prep would really be unbearable !!!!
so....I have exactly 25 days b4 I fly to US ...and IM will be done very seriously as if Im gonna take the IM part of the exam on the 26th day !!
the plan is Kpln + FA + Q book+ Fischer Qs ...I have this strange feeling that something is missing in this material  I will be deciding if Ill subscribe for IM Q bank or not soon... Im not buying the complete Q bank or UW as I will do that after I come back home from US...
I guess my study will shape up better after I study a few chapters...
my cute lil son is a bit unhappy here that Ill be N/A any more  but hes relaxing with the idea of US trip soon ! I guess its nooo good to be this attached to our kids...then any separation is killing ok...no time to be sentimental 
ok...7:00 AM here...off me starts with GIT

how right you are bhanu !!! how right !! but I talked to him ...as I did b4 I started step 1 prep and assured him that I will immidiately leave the books and come near him as soosn as he called me if hes bored... he seems ok and mature for now ... we loooooovveeeeeeeee them dont we but this is also for their future...not simply our career goal !

I'm still here. Just got a little tied up in Eid celebrations, and what not. I snuck in a 1/2 a day of riding as well. But back to work today.

Feyza , I think I know the problem. Some one has posted a nice explanation in the match forum. Almost everyone is applying to way-more-than 100 programs and they ( programs) have no clue how to handle these overflowing applications.
As a result, the VERY good applicants are getting TOO many interveiws and the LESSER mortals are on hold.
In the end ,obviously not all so called great candidates are going to join all the residency programs they get selected into. So this year ,probably the wait will be longer for people like me.

so does that mean the earlier you apply the better is it ...or in spite of the fact above...is it better to apply with all step 1 ck and cs done ?????
it suddenly hit me hard that its a looooooooooong long way to go ....I feel like Im oldkidontheblock ...remember how he was stressin out in all these??

Hi Feyza, you already got so many in your plate for IM.
I planed to just two sets of Qbanks, but afraid that something may be missing. So add kaplan notes in, and wanted to go through FA also. Now it is the first day for IM, I feel so overwhelmed with my plan that I could not study for half a day! So tomorrow just Qs. Don't want to care about my score. Finish all the Qs first then go back to read books. If don't have enough time, just move on leaving some unread stuff behind.
You are right. We could not ignore our cute kids and just care about our career. That will be too selfish and not worthy at all. We just have to balance our life all the time.
