present and acoounted for...
ok so here is the deal...i finished gynae.. at a steady pace..thinking to myself lucky me..kln is so short... then yesterday i got my copy of blueprints.... which is anything BUT short!...so now im gonna go thru that .. and with the last week of ramazan making it even more dif to study...the chances r i will prob not b able to do anything else..infact will b lucky just to go thru gyn..
for those who dont know..im working fulltime..
after eid my fam vacation is coming up...so i guess im gona b where oldkid is ...gonna start afresh in nov..but im ok with it...the vacation is loooong overdue....
will still try and do "essential studying" though..... just get in a few pages mayb a few chapters everyday(if i were ever so lucky!)

Guys...I have a Q... whats the steps to arrange an USCE...I mean very simply ABCs I gotta do ?
and how true is this ----------->
One of the aspect or cause of our failure to get into residency program here in USA is wasting of time in observerships. The programs don't consider observerships/research/externship as clinical experience for foreign medical graduates because whatever you do they think it's not a quality clinical experience. So I don't know how much it really helps

not true.... observ, tgh not as good as externships...and def not even close to electives is stll some wat of a clinical exp.... some hosp make it very clear they dont consider obs as usce..but most can b convinced otherwise if u get a good lor... so thinking in terms of time wasting..wat else would u rather b doin?? sitting at home praying and hoping iv come ur way..or getting an observership which mite help u make contacts and even get u an iv at the place u observed at??
i say go for the obs...its better then not....

funny story I thought I would share with you guys.
My dad stopped by this morning to see how the studying is going. So he looks at the questions on UW that I'm doing. And he's like "So is there a "viva" (oral exam)?" and I'm like "nope". "essay?" .. "nope". So he stands there for like 30 seconds, strokes his beard and finally says "so let me get this straight. They give you the question, and then right under it they give you the answer. And all you have to do is click on it?" "yes, dad" "and your still only getting 55-60 %?" .. "yup". Then he just shook his head and walked away.
So if you really think about it, he's right. They give you answer, and all you have to do is click on it. Any monkey can click right?
