I lost my cars keys why should there be a crisis in my life every week I took a cab today to the library not to lose focus , they want damn lots of money to change the whole lock system in case someone finds the key , something like 1250 USD God ! only 1 w left and look at me ... plz pray they find it somewhere ! mum is looking for it at home ...silly me Nayny , dear , where am I ...UW expires today , I have 3 blocks , I will be busy with them the whole day and will forge about the key ... 2 block PED and 1 block STAT ... I dont wanna study stat for this exam , do you think I miss a lot ... how many Qs appear I wonder then tomorrow I will start reading everything one last time ... my kpln and UW notes ... thats all I can do ... He is the one to push me to the "pass" zone inshAllah ! k ...now I gotta depersonalize from real life and focus only and only on UW life for the next 10 hrs... hope phone rings sometime and mum gives me good news (you know I get very upset when something bad happens but I can adapt and put plan B into action easily ... nany Forum Guru Topics: 14 Posts: 1,060	04/16/08 - 07:00 AM             #726 oh dear Feyza, what have you done ?!, take it easy girl...., can't you just put the care into some garage and leave it there unused till this week pass..., even if some one found the key they'll not find a care to use it on .., and about statistics, I really think of doing exactly as you wish to do, leave statistics completely, I heared that it's only very very few questions in the whole exam, may be counted on one hand, so why do I put my money on it and why do I push my mind to remember all these equations, may be just very few general information to solve me some questions but I'll not look for perfection in it....., now depersonalize as you said from all the world and focus in your last day in UW, and let us know later what will happen best of luck dear ___________________ " You Are Limited Only By What You Think "
inkspot Forum Guru Topics: 40 Posts: 742	04/16/08 - 08:23 AM             #727 agree with nany! on my step 1 exam i remember i spent 7 minutes on one god forsaken biostat question ( and i probably got it wrong ) . I have decided that i am NOT going to study for biostats nor going to spend more than 30 sec in the exam. period . i will just revise biostat for 1 hour 1 day before the exam and that would be it. biostat is part of preventive medicine in step2 . so if your preventive medicine part is good ( pap and screenings etc ) than i m sure neglecting the biostats wont effect the over all performance. on the other hand you can study it all day and be lost in the evening. guyz its the last week now. planing to write my nbme 2 on 18th. i m quite nervous already. i m sure i am prepared for exam but the exam anxiety is killing me. i hope i can handle this streeessssss !!!!!! I brought a lock-man , he opened the door someway , and I got the certificate from the car and called back ... and decided I would simply get a copy key , and park it safely in the garage ... they entered the number and told me the car had an immobilizer system and theres no way for a copy key , and they will bring the whole lock system in 3 WEEKS if I pay 1500 USD !!!!!!!!! that was the moment I collapsed and all my tension burst out in sobs ! God ! you should have seen me ! I was sobbing ! I called my husband , he came immidiately on hearing my horrible voice ... oh my sweetheart ! He was soo cool ! He didnt even say : How on earth could you lose your keys ??? he just hugged and said , its ok , we will work hard and make the money somehow ! then he said : lets eat ...and I was like : how can I take a bite , Im about to have a GI bleed here ! he said , ok , just relax, I will fix the table ... ha starts doing that AND THE KEY APPEARS IN THE BREAD BOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN THE BREAD BOX !!!!!!!! I remember now hazily throwing the keys to the bread bag afer parking bc my hands were full of fruit bags ... then bc we ate out , they remained there !!!! the funniest part is ... when I saw the keys , instead of stopping crying and laughing , I went even wilder for 10 more minutes all my stress flew out now Im checking the last few Qs with red swollen eyes and a happy soul the end ___________________ FOUND HER NEVERLAND IN MASSACHUSETTS ! I also left my car keys in the ignition switch and I was long way from home on job. Luckily there weren't much patients that day so me and a friend spent nearly 2 hours opening the door. He used a long stick bent it and passed it through the window which I had left opened deliberately about an inch ( in ME everyone leaves at least one window little open coz when the hot air expands your windshield may crack so this gap serves as an exhaust). Finally he could open the door. Since then I always keep a copy key in my wallet. A lesson learned hard!!! Don't bother about Biostats. Just revise the simple things like sensitivity, specificity, positive p value and negative p value coz questions on these topics are simple and doable.
