Yes I will do that !! I will find my perfect residency !! and in order to do this...I need a real high score after my 194/79 in step 1 ...and yes I will do that too inshAllah !
I will never lose hope and never feel miserable,lose confidence , which was my huuuuge mistake in step 1 !
Im starting this journal hopefully not to throw my schedule to the winds 
planning to register to the jan-feb-march EP and then try my best to get the exam in early february without any extension !
off me starts today with IM

Yes, believe in yourself, work hard, repeat learning the same resources and learn them by heart, I bet you will get a stellar score this time!

You gonna get great score this time.... just FOCUS on common cases. Dont spend much time on useless rare syndromes.. this time CK needs Common sense.. not bookworm'ish like step 1.

Ill read Kaplan for IM and keep FA handy ...then if I feel bad on a topic...Cecil is on the shelf for a very quick look...no MCQs in the first read...
all chapters are like 20-30 pages on the average except for CVS and INFECTIONS ...Its doable in 20 days maximum but as this is my holy fasting month and as my brain works in half pace when fasting ...I will give a month and then I will pace up after Ramazan

Hello Sis, nice to know that you started this thread. Count me in. I was desperately in need of a familiar friend from step one forum. I have already taken EP of Feb/Mar/Apr and most likely date will be end of Feb. I also need to score good this time.
I started off with Kaplan qbook and found lowest score in surgery of 48% only while the rest were around 60-70%. So I am doing Surgery now (not very seriously). I will shortly come up with a plan of study. Do you have any study plan? How many reads are you planning? I think you have to go along with mcqs instead of waiting to finish the subject as most of them are helped by step one. When are you planning to subscribe for UW? What other material will you study from? I may have a look at secrets/Boards n wards/Conrad Fischer and FA. Kaplan lecture notes and qbank are a must as usual.
GL with your studies. I will keep visiting your journal very frequently.

as you said...how nice to see a familiar face so...we seem to be planning to take step 2 at the same time... ok...lets check each other constantly...
so my plan is...
3 reads of Kaplan with Q bank and FA ( I cant do Qs b4 I read...thats a defect of mine ...so a very quick read then Q bank simultaneously...Qs after each chapter)
then UW
then last rev with Goljan step 2 + B&W + secrets + Mock exam(750 Qs)
finally NBME and decision if Im ok or not
I was planning to do this first read with the Q bank in 2 mo but Ramadan is not very productive...today I will try to keep awake and read till night meal and see if that will work ...
so do you think this will work for a 90+ ...do you think my last review souces are a bit overdose ?? Im soo scared to score low again ...still I dont wanna get drowned in too many books...
so ... lets get started...SERIOUSLY

I agree with you and have a similar plan. I want to do 3 reads of KLN and alongwith that qbook and qbank. I think I will do mcqs of qbook and qbank along the first read which I guess will finish around October or November. Then I will start UW for two months alongwith revisions of KLN. I may want to look at FA and Secrets but not more than that.
Ramadan takes away energy alongwith time spent at work so its going to be little slower than expected and also my short trip back home just after Eid for a fortnight.
But lets start.......Seriously....
I am doing Surgery and planning to finish it within a week...Inshallah

Feyza, I know you will be shy to say that, a 99 for you. You definitely won't need to. You definitely can do that, smart girl! (Don't forget you have a high IQ). Remember, we are only limited by what we think.
I think the first part of your plan is very good, well the second part, maybe too heavy. If you read the exam experiences, you can see that most of the high scorers used limited sources but reviewed many times. Someone said, "eat the stuff". You don't want to be too full without digesting.
But you are the person who knows yourself best. GL, friend.

Been very slow. Did first two chapters of Surgery and today will try to do vignettes of it at the back of the chapter. I have to finish it in one week around 21st or 22nd.

Hi Feyza! Been busy (again) these past few weeks, with the kids going to school. My daughter has been going to preschool/playschool since 2nd wk Aug, my son to pre-K, and I TRIED to start. Browsed through Kaplan Cardio, and it took me 2 weeks to finish Endo coz I tried to correlate it with UW. I ty to read when everybody's asleep but since yesterday I decided to play Goljan audio whenever my brain is tired or when I do chores in the house. I still have to reorganize my study sched to its a mess right now.
