johns hopkins??? wow, you're aiming high!! keep it up. but are there any imgs that got accepted there? that's like a super-competitive program, even for amgs. but, not trying to discourage you here. coz i'd love to get it there too. so, keep us posted if you get an iv, or even better land a spot there, and i'll be encouraged to give it a shot next year. wishing you luck!

Hey Mazinger, Isn't the MSPE due to be released on Nov 1st? Does that mean that those programs won't select candidates or schedule interviews before that day? I have not sent my MSPE yet, but I wil send it before oct 1st so is available on november. Will they look at my application as incomplete because of that? Too many questions, I know!

I dont know I just applied there, the say they sponsor superb imgs but I dont fit in their description.. anyways I am giving it a shot... Selection Process The Department searches for applicants with strong motivation for a career in anesthesiology, a broad base of medical knowledge, sound judgment, maturity, high ethical standards, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, compassion, a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity and evidence of scholarship These intangibles form the criteria for selection among many highly qualified candidates. I dont think its going to happen, but who knows?? maybe I might be the lucky one te get an IV... GL

Got a very neutral letter from beth israel at boston... Your application to the Anesthesia Residency Program at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center has been received. I appreciate your interest in the program and look forward to meeting many of you. Interviews will start the last week of November and extend through the month of January. Interview invitations will be extended on a rolling basis via ERAS email. For more information on anesthesia training at BIDMC, please refer to the Education section of our website:
