UT Dallas rejection. Might have been my lack of ECFMG certificate. My credentials are in the credentials thread in case anyone is interested. As long as it is not UT Houston I don't sweat it!

Glo Md just saw your credentials, makes me wonder what are they looking for? Although i live in this city, i didnot apply here as during visits at this hospital i felt it wasn't too friendly!

Thanks Sarika that is very nice from you but this is a part of life. We all got into this knowing we were going to be rejected sometimes (maybe many times). I just hope it is not on the places I really care for an interview all I want is a chance to show what I am capable of and I think everybody wants that. Anyways you live in Dallas? I have heard it is not very nice in there is that true? Thats why I didn't care much about it but might not be true. Hope you get all the interviews you want. Lets keep on posting rejections here so that everybody can make an informed decision when applying. I think there is nothing to be ashamed of Gl everyone!

Hey glo MD, Though its true texas especially big name hospitals here aren't that IMG friendly, the city is totally opposite. I found texans to be very loving, caring and polite. I live in almost white suburb and never felt weird or awkward. In terms of cleanliness, i think its better than houston. Dallas is newer with big beautiful buildings and so many good dine out places. Its good here.

its going to be tough to get into UTSW if u haven't rotated there, their prog director Dr Hillis has a strict policy of interviewing only those IMGs who have in some capacity worked in UTSW

Dr Shailu, I couldnt understand why you got rejected from that program, you are having awesome credentials, I am having lot of trouble to understand the PDs logic in rejecting some very good applicants.
