I had sent 2 LORs from my home med school >2weeks ago, but it seems that ERAS-ECFMG has not received them as they don't display them on the OASIS, time is running out soon, what should I do? Shall I request my attendings to send them again? If sent out again, and by chance the original ones also get delivered, what kind of problem can it lead to? Where did you send them from??? If you do not tell ppl full story, who they can help you??? You have to wait... None from those (well, may be very few) who sent their appls on Sept 1 received invitations for interview... It will not kill you if you patiently wait till your docs are OK and you have a full range of abilities to apply... ___________________ The winner takes it all...

I have same problem, I sent my school transcript along with LOR 10 days ago via priority mail with delivery confirmation and it hasn't been delivered yet, I'm worried it might have been lost in the mail.priority mail should take 2-3 days. called ECFMG to check if they received it but they said I have to check OASIS.
don't know what to do, should I resend the material again?

I did that, it's not delivered yet, the message says acceptance at post office, it's not changing since I mailed it. i went to the post office and they told me to wait one more week if it's not delivered I should call USPS and file a complain.that's all they can do.

Well, this is a major mistake to send within the US via courier, especially when the ECFMG courier mailbox is overloaded with the stuff coming from overseas... I sent everything via regular mail, by dropping my envelopes in regular USPS blue mailboxes, and my stuff was delivered within 4 days... I didn't send my mail via courier, i sent it via USPS=united states postal service. next time I will use fedex.

I sent my stuff from India using regular mail, and normally it doesn't take >12 days, but it has been >2 weeks now, what to do? ___________________ Impossible is nothing !

dr123, USPS is very good,
Whenever I send important documents I use it with certifying request, then I use tracking number to follow.
You should file a complaint to ask them for the reason. Also explain how important you package is.
Next time if you use any certifying mail, remember to track its status.

robin, USPS isn't good when a problem happens, the answer is alwys there is nothing we can do, file a complain and we will try to find what happend to your mail. it happend to me few months ago, I sent a package and it was never delivered I went to the post office they gave me a form to fill out and they said they will try to locate the package and if they find it they will let me know,and I never heard from them. even certified mail can get lost, the only service that gaurantee delivery is registered mail,but it's too expensive.
now, how long should I wait before i resend my documents?. what will happen if they receive it twice?

How could you send your documents regular mail from India what were you thinking? I live in the United Stated and I DO NOT use regualar mail the problem is with you

it turns out that the LORs I sent from India using ordinary mail on 25th Aug were delivered to ERAS on 4th Sep, so it took just 11 days, even Fedex takes 4 days from India, so not a bad deal at all considering that Fedex charges >2000 Rs and ordinary post took only Rs 43, but it is the ERAS which took 8 days to show my receipt of letters on OASIS (it just showed up today itself) ___________________ Impossible is nothing !
