A cardiology quality of care study is being conducted at the University of Chicago. We are in need to persons with a medical background to help us in detailed chart reviews. The experience can be valuable for IMGs who wish to gain some research experience at a good university hospital program. We ask that only those people living in the Chicago area contact us so that an interview can be scheduled. Please do not go out of your way to come to Chicago just to interview us because we cannot guarantee a position after interviewing shortlisted candidates. Positions are available right now and will continue to be open for another 2 months.
The position is being offered on a voluntary basis.
You will require an extensive 2-3 weeks period of training for the work you'll do which we'll provide and for this investment of personnel required to train you, we'd ask that you be able to commit to the study for a minimum of three months. We can promise a strong letter of recommendation contingent on your performance during your stay with us as well as being able to put the experience down in your resume.
So any IMGs who might be in the Chicago area and are able to commit a 3 month duration with us can send their CV to atifrahman@gmail.com. An interview will be required afterwards so you must be able to attend that.

bumping this up... i know it doesn't exactly fit into this space, but many imgs are going to be coming to the US in the weeks to come, and I think many would be interested in the opportunity being presented here.

Guys Speak Up Cos this is the Best Opportunity U Will Ever Get They r looking for IMGs. Man I wish they have this in my city. I aint in Chicago otherwise i wud be there begging for this chance.

hi
thanks for the post...i am very much interested knowin it is a good research oppurtunity but, my luck i am graduating this october and with my step 2 in nov it is not possible...how long is the study? i hope to give my step 2 cs in chicago in feb..will it be too late in feb? thanks once again

I'm afraid next year would be too late. We'll looking to take in recruits sometime in the next 2-3 weeks so we can train them collectively. Anyone who comes in later will have to be trained individually and we can't afford the time to do that. If you know of other forums where this message to imgs can be communicated, do pass it on there. This is indeed a good opportunity for imgs.
