i am an IMG from india

unfortunately a have 2 unsuccessful attempts at the step1thied time a got a 213/88.

ck 219/90.. CS result awaited.

do the PD's know abt ur attempts when u apply?

if not, do i tell them?

i am looking out for an observership, but like u said a good grade at step 3 is better.... so i'll just work hard for step 3..

what r my chances in a place like SFO?(i know they r bleak.... yet i need to know from u)

Hi Dr fischer, my issue is that I have a score of 80 percentlie on step 1 , and recently got 97 percentile on step 2 all first atempt, is there a real chance that I will get a looking from programs as I heard step1 score are the screening criteria.
what is in your assesment how my step 2 scores will come to play in the whole picture

Dr Fischer,

greetings...I am an IMG from India..
step 1:99
step 2 :99
step 2cs: passed on 2nd attempt
step3 :scheduled for october'08
2 months observership at University hospital
3 months of basic science research in US.........no publication from it though
1 publication in Indexed journal....case report..me as co-author..

Please advice me what can i do to be more competitive for Match 2009...

but i will take my chance and hang the rod. nothing specific to ask u sir just this one thing, how do take the stress and strain of your job and manage to keep a smile on ur face.
