A brief detour through my exam. Extremely exhausting. Demands a lot of stamina, patience and concentration. Lots of stuff from medicine, as expected. Some pretty ordinary questions too; 4 or 5 which had no real answers. Are they the ones they call the experimental Qs??? I dont know. But they were really stupid and i treated them as such! Dint really freak me out much. Every other question started with a 60 yr old! Seems like the guys writing the questions are more worried bout their own health and gettin doctors ready to treat em than having questions with a uniform age distribution!!!
t Anyways the lesson learnt is that guys preparin for Step 2 really need to get their geriatric medicine in order before they jump into the cauldron of exam taking Another thing i need to tell u bout is the quality of questions in psychiatry; they're really very well thought out, demand a lot of fine analysis and require that u have precise knowledge of the differentiating features of each. Peds and OBG generally seemed fairly straightforward, nothin very complicated. Surgery again was heavily loaded with elderly Qs and some weird abdominal xrays. Man America seems no longer to be a nation of the young!!! Anyways to conclude this brief detour would also like to mention that i had a lotta Qs on SOB ( no its not sonofa......, thats shortness of breath! And by the time i finished with them i was pretty short of it myself!!! hehehe) Hope u guys find this information useful. Any questions would be welcome Now somethin to remind myself....Man the result's in 2 weeks time, u be ready!!
