I found it cumbersome and time-consuming to type or use copy-paste for other members nick-names, when you want to show that you are addressing them - I guess others also try to avoid this and as a result, it's often difficult to figure out to whom the user addresses in his/her post. I think it would be much more convenient if by clickng on the member's nick you'll be able to quote it in your post; for the member profile there should be another hyperlink option, named - "Profile". also, quoting posts by other members in the same topic could be made more convenient if it will be possible to do this in the "Post a quick reply" mode and without quoting the whole post - for this there could be the "quote" button, above smilies - you mark only relevant part of the post and after clicking on the "quote" button it goes straight to your future post.

Almost Every Forum on the Net has the Quote options but not as wht u r talking abt. And so far from wht i have seen that u can easily quote one member and mutiple quotes r often end up incomplete posts. Its easier to quote one person anywhere but specifically more easy on P4U cos the we know the letters which easily start and end the quote. Quoting Different ppl in a singular post is often very difficult and ur suggestion though very good shud be consider for its applicability. However in the meanwhile, u can learn the initials to start a quote. Here they r TO Start a Quote :- [ quote = member name ] To End a Quote :- [ / quote ] NO SPACES PLZ (i added them so it doesnt become a quote) I hope this helps u and other members cos until a better option arrives make good use of the current one.

Or simply click on the blue hyperlink on the side, probably #3 on mine. Then quickly delete eveything in between that u don't want , the above quote symbol At the end continue to write ur own reply. Sounds complicated? It isn't?

new_n_lost I know at least 2 forums, which do have the quote options I'm talking about. what do you mean under - "u can easily quote one member and mutiple quotes r often end up incomplete posts"? knowing the letters which start and end the quote doesn't make quoting any easier - what's easier - to type 16 characters + member name + copy-paste in order to quote, or to do the same by performing only 2 operations - marking and clicking on "quote" button? could you, please, explain, why do you think that "Quoting Different ppl in a singular post is often very difficult and ur suggestion though very good shud be consider for its applicability"? mytime "Sounds complicated? It isn't?" no, it doesn't sound complicated, it REALLY is complicated. new_n_lost and mytime for me both options suggested by you are so cumbersome, that I found quoting by copy-paste-"..." which I'm currently using much more easier. and, please, read Einstein's adage below my post once again.

Multi post quote is a nice feature. Hope it will be available in next version of forum software.

It is simple this way & also sometimes, easier in c/p way too so , both MT & p53 ways are good depends on the things you'll like to write, reply, quote .
