I'm an FMG and recently obtained a dean's letter (my med school has no MSPE). I just checked the status of my documents on the ECFMG website and I noticed that they classified my Dean's letter as a LOR. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal for them to classify this document as an LOR or have they made a mistake? Looking forward to your response. GL.

They do put deans letter as LOR and in place of MSPE they place a neutral letter saying this candidate will not be able to provide MSPE.

Thanks everyone. I called the ecfmg...and they fixed it for me. I suggest to that people check how they label received documents. Had I not checked, I'm sure that a vital part of my application would have been missing and might have been discarded as incomplete. whoa!
