previously healthy 28 year old unmarried female studying for USMLE boards . exams all lined up till end of year so that she can start surgical residency next year comes with C/C of amenorrhoea and galactorrhoea since last 6 months . no other complaints . HCG = -tive , TSH = normal, MRI = -tive , prolactine = high.... treatment?????

A.... wowman with pituitary tumor is usually microscopic (so you won't see it on MRI)

amenorrhea can be d/t stress and anxiety but not galactorrhea, so u shud give bromocriptine.

patient has pitutiary microadenoma and treatment shud b bromocriptine ... but answer given was OCP as patient acc to question is ready for residency and dont want baby ... if patient wanted baby bromocriptine is the answer...
