well, i had this brainwave, and i have a huuuuuuuuuge favor to ask of those who've taken the test like nnl, edie et al. could we please make a sticky thread of all the online resources that you/we all use[d]? coz there are so many sites out there, many with great stuff that shouldn't be missed during your prep. sites with animations, or practice qns, even notes on specific topics. some sites are well known, like webpath [which is even listed in fa], but there are numerous others out there, that many of us don't know about.

i'll quote an example. i was going through edie's journal, and she had mentioned using a site called pharmacology2000.com now, i don't know how many of you use this site, but i for one had never heard of it. thanks a lot, edie, the site looks great. will be incorporating it in to my prep now. similarly, feyza and hedieh have recently posted some interesting sites. but, as time goes by, these threads are bound to sink, and will be harder to find as time goes by. in fact, newbies will probably never find it. we all may have our own fave sites, that we keep going back to. how about pinning it up there, for everyone to benefit from?

i ask of this favor from our colleagues like nnl, edie etc, who've recently taken the test. don't have to do this in a maddening rush, like prepping for the mle! take your time, and the thread can slowly take shape. finally, it might end up something very valuable, like askdoc's sticky, or the one with all the heavy-duty exam experiences that p4a99 kindly compiled.

of course, everyone can post on it. and everyone will benefit.

thanks, and i hope everybody sees the potential in this that i do! what do you guys think?

Good idea, over due .
Do not forget UJK's web link for netanatomy .
Pl open new thread PHL as ... useful web link .. something like that title , actually should be different big thread like there is support, journal, now there should be new one call .... useful web link or webs, then under that main thread shuold be same like the subj wise anatomy, plus there should be also have general , images.
Then under the anatomy can be imgaes like netanatomy etc link.

Bring it on PHL , please request moderator, admin. to open brand new big thread as... useful web link/link with the sub title thread as general, images, animation , etc. then subj wise anatomy etc with same sub-title as general , images, animation etc .

As soon as the web open , alot will pour the link in .

Well actually there are already lists of websites on the resources page + they are well organized ... check it out.

So if any one wants to add any more URLs, you can add them in the resources page where they will be suborganized according to your recommedation ... but the problem is that i dont know how fast those lists are updated cuz i have already recommended some web pages but they have not been added till now ( as far as i know )

whoa, bioguy!!! now, that's what i'm talking about!!! thanks a bunch!

well, p4a99, i looked at the resources page, and there are a few liks there. but i think it's in a rather hidden/inaccessible area. i mean, noone would think of looking there. also, you said that a site needs to be suggested, and then it will be added on by a mod/admin, and it's not updated regularly. if we have it in a thread here in our forum, we'd do the managing ourselves, much quicker, and way more accessible.

nnl, i've used emedicine extensively previously. it's a great site, with authoritative info about each topic. but, it's almost exclusively only text. in this thread of sites, i was aiming at animations and question sources. the text is available to us in numerous forms, in the various review and referance books. and, sometimes, the written word doesn't stick in the cranium. for instance, i had great difficulty in understanding the lac operon. but, it took only a 2 min animation to set it straight, and i haven't forgotten it yet. that link was provided to me by you nnl, so thank you very much. the thing is, if i want to review it before my exam, it will take me ages to find it, esp in comparison to the duration of the vid. and, that vid was so good, i'd like others to benefit too, esp those struggling with it like i was.

i'm awaiting a reply from admin concerning the mega-thread that shwe suggested. no word so far. in the meantime, i think we should just go ahead with a step 1 sticky right here i support forum.

let's contribute, guys. let's make it good. thanks.
