i really appreciate it bbh!

this is why these forums are so invaluable...we're here to support and encourage each other and to ease each other's anxieties during this very stressful period in our medical careers! i'm so glad that great people have come to join this thread!

hopefully good news tomorrow guys!

we're on page 3...yehey!

God bless us all!

  #53

Thanks bbh.

May GOD bless us all, with ap/cp this fall.nod

as usual...complete and utter silence for me today!

well, at least i have one less thing to worry about now. my third and final LOR has FINALLY been "received" by ECFMG. although it's dated sept. 24th which i don't understand since it was sent at least 1 week before that (letters sent from the u.s. to the u.s. do NOT take that long to reach their destination!). anyway, hopefully they'll get their butts moving so that all of our stuff can be uploaded and become available on ERAS.

as for cs...the 10th is approaching fast. i'm terrified that it's hard to sleep at night...okay that's a bit over the top, but you guys get the point! i have a question for anyone who can answer it. the score report period for me is oct. 10th to nov. 7th. this covers those who took the exam july 15th to august something. i took it on july 31st...when should i expect my results? would it be released on the 10th? thanks guys! grin

  #55

for those interested, a lot of programs have sent out invites...including those that are in my top 10! of course these are amgs and since the same ones are getting the invites, i'm assuming that they're stellar candidates.

as for us imgs, don't panic just yet...i haven't really heard of too many getting invites at this time...we have to be patient!

what's the news with everyone here? how come no one is posting? sad

  #56

To amygdalaa: I'm interested in Baystate/Tufts program. I saw a post by you last year asking about it as well. How do you like the program after your interview there? Do they offer prematch to IMGs? Thanks a lot.

Guys, if any of u out there can answer my questions, please. I appreciate any input.

  #57

ustmd most of the examinees taking the exam between july 15th and sep 7th will have their result on 10 th oct only a few candidates who have taken their exam in later half of this period can have their result delayed so most probably u will have ur result on 10 th GL to us all
and its really been quiet 7 days no emails no invs like a silence before a storm and i hope and pray that the storm of invs get started fr the imgs as well

GL to all

thanks churgstrauss! that's what i was hoping for...after all, they have had a very long time to check it! and they even took a 2-week break in between report periods...which makes no sense to me...oh well!

i have heard that when you took your exam doesn't really have a correlation with when your score is released during the score report period...either way, i'm hoping the 10th is the day for me! and a PASS!!!

it has been deadly quiet...i am presuming the following: most programs are still going through the hundreds of applications that they have gotten...most invite amgs first...those of us with incomplete applications are on the "hold" file and hence have not heard anything...and finally, it's still EARLY!

so no need to panic yet...have a good day everyone!

  #59

good news guys! the unbearable silence has been broken...invite from drexel university! grin

  #62

i have a feeling october will be a great month for all of us!

  #63

oh yeah, don't dwell on cornell...rejections are a part of this whole process...that's why we apply to so many programs...hehe!

  #64

Congrats to ustmd2006 and churgstrauss! I got rejection from Cornell and an IV from Derexel too. Does any body know derexel? Hope USTMD2006 is right. Let's hope for OCT.

hi churg! congrats on unm...i'm really hoping for an invite from there...it's way up in my list! they haven't rejected me, so i'm still optimistic!

as for bwh, like i say about all rejections...just let it go!

for the past two weeks, i've gotten 1 invite each, so i'm very thankful. i really do think that things will start to pick up soon. patience is the key friends! good luck to all of us waiting for the cs!

have a great weekend everyone! grin

Hi guys, I got a phone call from Baystate this week, but no confirmation email yet......, Churg, have you received any confirmation email? Other than this, I had no luck this week.......

GL to u all.

  #72

lucky tiger i received an email of invitation and then i called them to confirm the date but i havent got the email regarding the confirmation of the inv date but lady told me it might take a couple of days so wait till the middle of next week or so and then u can call her for a reminder.

  #73

Thanks for the reply, Churg. I'll just wait and see.

  #74

hi everybody!! finally...pathologists!!! nod

pathology is my life!

anyway still a long road for me until my first application....i took step1 on sept 5th ,i didn't receive the results yet , this wed will be 5 weeks....i'm nervous , i'm expecting to fail..it was very hard this exam....i don't know(i tried to apply again for step1 and they rejected me...this must be a good sign...right?)...we'll see....step2 in dec , and CS in feb.

currently i'm looking for an observership in path . i have no us experience. i graduated in 2006. now i'm a resident in path in my home country first year.....

i emaild hospitals and i called , but nobody offers observerships...i'm becoming a lil desperate , coz i really want some us experience , even if that means observing....

anyway...i'm happy i find pathology enthusiasts....very good thing ...after my opinion pathology is the most beautiful speciality. I wish u all good luck with your applications , and hope next year on this time i'll understand the stressfull situations u are experiencing now.

Keep your spirits high!

thanks for the well-wishes kleila! and for the encouragement...it is again becoming a little depressing...it's been unusually quiet so far this week...but even for the amgs, i think...at least at the other forum i frequent, no one's really added to the interview list.

good luck with looking for an observership...you just have to keep emailing and calling...someone will response positively. unfortunately i don't know of any specifics with regards to hospitals or who to call. there may be something somewhere in here...maybe the img forum and search for the topic observerships.

how's everybody doing?
