hey guys thanx to you all, believe me i never ever compared myself to the amg's as i honestly believe that they do deserve , it before us. what worries me is , that my friends in IM and PEDS already have like a good half dozen interviews, and here im sitting with only one interview in hand. and more over what is more frustrating is that , each time i hear that the interviews will soon start pouring out, viz ........3rd week of sept.........then last week of sept then 2nd and third weeek of oct,,,,,,,the ****ing goal post shifts everytime guys , believe me that im lossing all my sense of humor and all kinda senses for that matter. i sincerely and desperately need inputs from the previous years matched people , or participants, or even info from here and there, but please please i need to know , what is the ideal time when ( if at all ) the img's in PSYCH start getting invitations P.S ujala , what time can you be found online on gmail, yesterday my sloppy connection just went off when you were online. P>S 2 guys kindly do let my other thread some consideration i need some info , to calm myself down

Puchpal - you changed your mokey! I hope its not because I said you make me laugh, because I didn't mean it in a bad way. Its just that you sound as frenetic as I feel. I apologize if it sounded insensitive. Dude - you seem really likeable. I wish I knew something to tell you other than to have faith. Everything is going to be OK in the end.

Puchpal, dont fret too much for now. I guess all of us feel the same way like you. But the comforting things is, we, the FMGs have not been hearing much from the programs these few weeks, and we are all applying for psych. So you are not alone... cheer up pal!

Yes thts true............U shouldhave patience.......and guys aspiring Psych must have that quality to succeed. For eg:- it may take one hour to three hours to take a Psych history so be prepared for that Good luck to u all Psych is not like IM, their offices filter by scores, graduation, but ours is different no PD wants to loose a genuine interested candidate, so it takes time, One thing is true Psych goes slow

guys, dont worry. I have 2 seniors who applied to psych and both warn that psych programs DO process applications late. A lot of places even wait for the Deans letter..so they START reviewing applications after November. the dry weeks are nerve wrecking but keep faith and hopefully it will be a great ending.

hi guys. thanx a million for the responses you gave , cant say that from an anxious nail-biting situation , i have suddenly started feeling very comfortable, but atleast not as anxious as i was , this bloody tension is showing up in all my daily activities. CHIQUI , not at all man , from my posts do i seem like a person , who may take such a small thing seriously?? i just changed the monkey , coz that ass hole was smiling , and this did not corroborate with the situation of my mind in present. nothin else at all. CMA belive me i have already become a firm believer of this thing.and i am sure it has to be O.K , there is no choice, STUDYING , its really really good to know that you have interviews from mayo and elmhurst , im personally really really fond of these two places , just pray for me CRYSTAL . thanx a million for the soothening words. i just hope and pray that all of us match at some place or the other CUPIDPLUTO, my only question is "how slow is SLOW" p.s GUYS BELIVE ME ITS NOT THE TENSION OF A CAREER ISSUE, BUT ACTUALLY ITS A MATTER OF SURVIVAL. THE AMOUNT OF DEBT IM UNDER, AND .......... believe me if i match you will find an altogther different person. i hope i end up with some of you guys as my residency colleagues, all of you have been a great support

Ms Ujaala I have one moth USCE.......did as a observer in September, didn't include in my CAF, however I have 3 yrs experience at Bellevue Hospital- 1200 bedded Psych facility in the English speaking Caribbean, I believe its stupidity to ask for USCE, I didn,t learn anything extra in this month, infact it is more challenging to take history at Bellevue than what we see in US who are functional mostly. I want to have academic and research experience in USA and ofcourse Psychotherapy is not much weighed at Bellevue which I hope can get trained in that area
