just got an interview from louisville knetucky...any input on the program..they asked for speaciality of interest to schedule the interview..what should i say..havent thought about it yet..
ps..now were equal dr maran i have 3 interviews too.

FMG from Argentina (2002)
Finished residency in Neurology
Currently Junior Faculty
2 peer reviewed articles
Step 1: 98/243
Step 2: 99/256
will take CS in December
need visa (j1 or H1, the same for me)
Applied to 40 programs
I applied two weeks ago and already have five interviews scheduled:
Mayo Clinic
Univ of Iowa
Emory
UIC
Alb Einstein/Montefiore
2 rejections: Brookdale and Bronx Lebanon
Should I wait for more iv's after two weeks?
I am worried I am still not ECFMG certified (I will after step2 CS), and that is the reason why programs don't call me more. Do you think this might be true????

For your case (first time high scores) that shoudnt be a problem as long as you have your CS passed by midFebruary when rankings are sent. They wouldnt rank you high if you fail to take or pass CS by that time.
And by the way, u had 5 IVs in 2 weeks, I dont see anything to whine about... You'll get at least 5 more IVs, that I can tell.

This week is like the week before last... nothing! No IVs no Rejections... I think the Psych PDs took the week off again  at least for my side thats what I believe.. Puchpal is HOT this week though, breaking the silence.

hi guys
sorry was out of touch , as i was for 37 hours on a strech in my dearest
GREYHOUND. in the last 6 days i was on board 77 hours.
i already feel like a banjaara( wanderer). saala ek coffe lo to bhi 2 dollar( even a coffe costs dearly) 
i really hope and pray that god does something for us this time
and cupid u alrdy have max calls , you need not worry man.

I hate to say this about a fellow colleague but, EMORY DOES NOT accept anyone in their PGY1 Psych who is not an AMG or Canadian Graduate. Soooo your tale is a wee bit fishy...
Albert Einstein/Montifiore on the other hand takes 2 IMG's each year in their PGY1 group and they are always, 1 Hispanic and 1 from Sackler in Israel. It NEVER changes.
They will interview any warm body that speaks spanish and there is currently a Columbian in the 1st year.
PS: I work at Montifiore, but I know I would never be offered an interview there.

i applied to Emory psych 2 years ago and i had an interview with them, it is true that they only take AMGs for PGY1 but as the PD told me: we are able to consider an IMG under special circumstances

this is supposed to be the cleanest forum,
i found it to be the most authentic , as i have had emails and other contacts with some guys.

Hi everybody. Slow and depressing week. Rejection from Brookdale and exam email from Jamaica, which is the equivalent of a rejection, as I have no intention of travelling to the US just for that exam. I still haven't been able to get my Dean's letter because our Dean is a big caca head. At least the LORs went out and should be uploaded soon.
Puchpal - thanks for the pep talk. I hadn't noticed the sets of threes on the avatars, but I do like symmetry. I'm glad your week rocked.
Neurotopsych - welcome. Impressive credentials. Did I perhaps meet you in NJ at the end of July?
Nadiabarati - I don't have directions yet to Metropolitan. I'm meeting them next week, so when I have directions I'll let you know.

Hi everyone
i ve got interview at Pitt County Memorial Hospital/East Carolina University Program
Greenville, North Carolina .
They offered me only Nov 9 for scheduling interview so I scheuled inv on this date but Program coordinator can shift my inv on other date in Dec or Nov if any body will shift its inv date. I cant take inv on this date. Any body want to exchange interview date with me, i will br very greatful to him/her.
