1.A 28 y/o man is brought to the E.D. by police because of severe pain in the right lower Q. of the abd for 36 hors. he has been incarcerated in the county jail, and his court hearing is scheduled in 12hrs. he takes no meds. abd exam shows no rebound. Lab normal. X-ray normal. no coccult blood. whici of the following is the most likely diagnosis? a)conversion b)factitious disorder c) malingering

In malingering ,the patient is deliberately faking illness with the intent of decieving others,their reason for faking illness (eg monetary or legal concerns)can be understood by examining the circumstances affecting the individual which in this case wants to avoid his court hearing.In factitious disorder,sympton is produced for the primary goal of being to assume the sick role
