Hi guys, Its me YAD. I have hit a major low. I was feeling good about my preparation for the exam, then I took NBME #1 and did awful! My exam is on Sept 21. Not sure what to do now. I've been preparing so far with Kaplan books. I did the entire Kaplan IV Qbank and finished with 68%. I did almost all of Kaplan Qbank and finished with 57%. Now I am preparing to do USMLE World starting tomorrow. I plan to review the subject notes one more time, FA and my Qbank personal notes I have written based on questions I missed. Any advice guys? Should I push back my test date? Am I going about this the wrong way? What will decide that I am ready for the exam? Thanks in advance... YAD

Hi yad, don't let your self down. If the score in NBME is not much less then what you aim for, you can still improve a lot in 2 weeks. Many people get better score in exam. But if the score is still too low, don't hesitate to postpone the exam. We never feel ready for it but we have to be confident when we sit for it. I just done NBME and still feel not confident enough. We are in the same boat. GL
