I am not Ecfmg certfied and appeared for cs few days back if GOD forbid result is fa.........i cant write what than guys? it wil be major set back even if programs rate me high as new dates are not available till fe-mar?

It is rare that somebody gets an interview without Ecfmg certification or all exams cleared.

Sometime , they do send interview ,but will not consider ranking unless you are ECFMG certified.So just wait for the results !!!!

well i know that i am worrying if God Forbid if I fa;;;;;;; than i am out of match as dates are not available for cs easily

Well it's no point speculating is there now. Just wait for the result's and pray that it's all ok. Some programs require you to be certified before they can call you for an interview while others want the certification by the time the submit their rank order list. So work accordingly for that.

If god forbid, you do fail cs, there would be plenty of time for you to retake it in time for the match or rank order deadline.

even i don't have My ECFMG cert or step 2 CS scores.

one of my friends got his step 2 CS score only in Feb 07, yet he succeeded in getting matched to peds in a Chicago program. and he had NO USCE.....!

so, it can happen, so chill out...!

I disagree. Although some programs require ECFMG certification for interviews, MANY dont. They want you to pass CS and ECFMG certified by rank order list, which is in March. But they will grant you interviews without certification.

Now, I do agree that you are at an advantage if you are already certified. You will definitely get more attention from program directors.
