There is a particular observation I could not overlook and hence will not stop to comment. This pertains to a post by Ivonne in one of the questions in Internal medicine forum . The question is titled "Immunodeficiency".One of the forum SENIORS Ivonne explains his answer with a case report. In this era of evidence based medicine , case reports are often published to report unusual phenomenon to prompt further analysis and studies , so even though the answer may be correct , relience on case reports for exam information may be desisted. What pains me more is that a forum senior would resort to such immature behavior .Clearly this so called senior ( who is senior only as per the number of posts and comments he posts on the site.)has no clue about Evidence based medicine and hence the real world and hence i request him review his response before he posts. Being a senior, his opinion is bound to be revered and regarded by many as correct. Seniors and elites should be responsible and should not misguide young anxious minds.Forum Managers ,please take cognisance of this gross error.
I am a Surgeon and am involved in research and teaching young students , hence the concern.

Ur concern is appreciated, u r right on the case report issue. Case reports r commonly used for the description of cases which lie outside the norm. I think u also missed Ivonne next post (#6) which the member has given a link to a website article Emedicine there; there the entity of the case has been mentioned.
Thank u for ur interest and observation as it will help a lot of juiors and seniors alike.
