i don't see anyone who got into residency posting
please do
it is a boost for the rest of us who are preparing
with so many notions being heard abt img's not getting residency every now and then it is difficult to keep up the morale

There are a few who post from time to time... however, people who got into residency last year are now working 60-80 hr weeks... its a bit unfair to expect them to be here for us now!
Check post from March 2007 and you will see many success stories...

Well.. last year, we were mostly waiting for calls at this time of the month. People started getting calls last week of september (few only) and it was mid October when calls from IMG friendly places started to kick in. MY PC and PD have not even looked at applicanst this year.
So, All of you... good Luck for the match. Just wait... you too will have interviews. You have already worked hard and given your best shots.. This is the time of stress and anxiety but having gone through the same last year, I can say; just relax. This is not the time to get panicky about calls. I have said before and will repeat once more, for average people (like most of us) interviews should be expected from october until early december. Also 7-8 interviews looked like a safe bet last year; not sure how things will turn out this year.
One more thing of note.. may be interesting to know; unlike last year, UK flow may be less. All my colleagues in UK (>10) who were preparing for this years match, despite complete applications have not applied this year. I am also hearing the same thing at my program and from other colleagues at work. apparently tables have turned in England and less people applying this year.

moozy...u r one of the real dudes around here...a very kind soul who takes time out of intern year, regularly, and tries best to spread optimism, do reality checks, giving ppl hope and calming them...especially wen u see that there are very very few ppl from last year who r interns now actually on the forum...
