Well, today was one of my bad days// i got my result and it was 204/84 . well i did not expect much but was hoping to get around 90.
i did work hard for six months. Well, i think my pattern of study was not suited for the exam.
Prep time 6 months
usmle world 55% {90 % complets}
nbme 1 204/84{ well my nbme coincided with my score-taken 20 days before exam}
usmle cd - 36,37,38 - 1 week bfore exam.
Can some body please advice me if it is worth pursuing my usmle plans.i am an img. Will this score be okay to get a residency in Internal /Family MEdicine if i do score well in step 2.
or is this all for me..

hey u cleared and congratulations for that and 84 is not bad at all...its a good score...to be very frank i am an IMG, i am nt very sure about their selection criteria but what i really know is that one step is doesnt descide a fate....GL for other steps

congrats...n' of course u should still pursue residency in the US....& u do have a chance of getting family medicine...no fret

84 from what I hear is superb. I know IMG's put a lot of stress on better scores but that isn't everything. So yes please go for it. No looking back and think of it, u r done with one of the worst exams ever. I would be celebrating this day.

I got 84 in step 1, then 99 in step 2 CK, so there's a lot to be done. Go ahead, hold your head up high, you can do it!

Dear friends,
Thanks for your inspiring mails.
Well, the sad thing is not many people see or reply to low scores.
To be honest, I myself was like that, which may have prevented me from learning some mistakes of others and correcting myself.
I am working hard on my step 2 and will give my best/
