i got an interesting email from Micheal reeese IL

u r selected for an interview...but unfortunately there are no dates...so we will inform incase dates open up which is likely to happen in JAN which will then be filled on a first come first serve basis.. so this email doesn't confirm an interview

insecure program confused

HI EVERYONE
i am sorry for not being active for a long time. was busy with something, started applying in sept last week.
i got the first reply today(an iv to begin is much better than rejection)...from brookdale hospital, brooklyn, NY.
i heard its an okay college. I'D APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD TELL ME MORE.
SHALL BE MORE ACTIVE FROM NOW ON...

that we are unable to offer you an interview for either the categorical or
preliminary programs. This has been the most competitive year that I have
experienced in my 20 years of reviewing applications. We have received over
3500 applications for a total of 16 positions.

We have received over 2500 applications to date, which has made this a very
difficult interview season. The majority of the applications match criteria
which has been set by our program, but,
unfortunately, we cannot invite everyone for an interview. sad
