Hey vancomycin , i m ok ....reading for my step 3 ....how r things for u ???

  #252

pryagrove, it's categorical IM.

silenced, don't you think jan is too late? i'll schedule my favourites in nov-dec. just in case they will offer a prematch wink

  #253

i have the same concern as malkut..coz now its too risky to go into the match.i was thinking to take all my interviews from mid nov-mid dec. so that i can decide whether to go into the match or to accept a prematch...dont care what sort of program....

one more thing..what is the safe latest time to take step 3?

a friend of mine took it in late january and it was ok for an H1b

Best time to schedule for interviews: whenever you can schedule them. Usually people attend the interviews of programs at the bottom of their list earlier and leave their favorite programs to the end.

Personally I will schedule the ones at the bottom for mid - late Nov., the ones in the middle in Dec. and my favorites around my area for Jan.

Just a matter of commodity.

Hi Silenced MD,.

How many IVs did you get so far?

It is up to you.

I just want to leave my preferred programs at the end, so that by that time I hopefully will feel more confident about my interview skills. And also they are in my area, so I prefer to go to the places I have to travel to first, since I hate the idea of traveling. So I want to get done with all the traveling first.

I would like to start interviewing earlier, but I am in the process of getting GC and I have to take care of some stuff first.

As I said before it is a matter of preference and commodity.

This does not mean anything if the interview is not coming from the program I want.

I will turn down the rest iv or even some of them I have now as long as I can collect enough number of university programs to let the guys on waiting list or on-hold land more iv chances.

  #270

Best of luck mph. I like your respose.

  #271

I meant the one for dearlife.

Kity sometimes they take a couple of days to come back to you. I have scheduled thru email. If you dont hear from them by tuesday, give them a call or email them again.

congrats kity

IV scheduling is usually through email. Even if you call and schedule an IV. Mail them again so that you'll have a document to correspond in the future if you have any questions or need a reschedule/canellation.

Its friday yesterday. so, they may respond on monday.
