Hi friends---I am in the process of filling my CAF----I saw a column of "Designate a new recommendation letter writer".

I have sent my LOR's to ERAS----Should I have to type my letter writer's name here or leave it blank?

Pls do reply asap!
Thanx!

you must designate letter writers here and ALL of the lors you have sent you must create them here. because you would assign THESE eras designated letter writer to the programs and ecfmg will send your lors according to your designations to the ERAS postoffice.

How did you send your letters without typing there name first in ERAS. Did you send the letters with the cover letter? Once you fill in the ERAS then you can print the cover letter, and as far as I know, You have to send the LORs with the corresponding Cover letters.

You can download the cover letter from the ERAS homepage... (i.e. u don't need to "fill in" ERAS or designate letter-writers in ERAS in order to print the LOR cover letters)
